Updated: May 30, 2024

On June 24, 2022, the United State Supreme Court issued the Dobbs v. Jackson decision that overturned the lethal 49-year-old abortion ruling in Roe v. Wade and returned the abortion issue back to state legislatures. This makes abortion and other life-protecting issues more important than ever to the state legislatures. As a result, we revised the candidate survey to reflect the new path forward for the pro-life movement. South Carolina Citizens for Life Action PAC is a single-issue, pro-life organization addressing the problems of abortion, infanticide, and euthanasia in our society. Our mission is to restore legal protection to the unborn and to pass laws that safeguard the medically vulnerable members of our human family including the elderly, the chronically sick, and persons with disabilities whose lives are threatened by doctor prescribed suicide and other forms of euthanasia.

Republicans for State Senate

The South Carolina Citizens for Life Action PAC will not make endorsements for open seats. Open seats are contested races where there is no incumbent seeking nomination. There are open races in the Republican primary for the following districts: Greenville 6, Spartanburg 11, Chesterfield, Lancaster, York 17, and Kershaw, Richland, Sumter 35,

For contested Republican State Senate Races in the June 11, 2024, Primary Election, in which an incumbent is being challenged the Action PAC endorses:

  • Senator Billy Garrett, for Senate 10, (Lexington, Greenwood); 100 percent pro-life Candidate Survey and support for the Fetal Heartbeat Act.

  • Challengers Carlisle Kennedy and Zoe Warren for Senate 23 (Lexington) both submitted pro-life surveys and either would be preferable to incumbent Katrina Shealy.
